  • Seeing as this is glacial ice, there is a chance we are seeing a layer dating back many, many years.
  • As we sailed along, we passed small valleys, and nearly all had a glacier high up on the mountain side.

  • We were fairly close to the sides. This actually looks closer than it is . . . that cliff is massive, so it makes it appear closer than it is.

  • Did I mention water flowing down from all these rock faces?<br /> <br /> Sometime just running along the face of the rock,.
  • Other times forming actual waterfalls.
  • You might wonder about the nearly identical shots. <br /> <br /> I think this one is a blend of three layers at different exposures (mild HDR).

  • While many of the shot look well lit, it was, in fact, very cloudy.

  • The ice was probably the most difficult to meter, especially given the variance in texture, and the surrounding water.
